A few weeks ago I wrote down what I think is going wrong in the German indie music scene, why I find it too quiet and why I believe we are about to give up freedoms we will miss but somehow still take for granted. If you haven't read it yet, it's here. I appreciate all the warm feedback and support I received after that and it confirms my feeling that everyone, including people working in the music sector, should be louder, even when it means leaving the comfort zone. As we saw with the whole Ed Sheeran debacle, it’s not possible to stay silent and/or apolitical in times like these. There is no ‘both sides’ when it comes to attacks on democracy, human rights violations, war crimes or genocide.

Apart from that, we hosted two sold-out shows in Berlin in September: Discovery Zone & John Moods performing their collab album 'Dreaming For Miles' and LA shoegaze band untitled (halo) on the 20th, both at 8MM.

This issue: 'Dreaming For Miles', which celebrates its first birthday is finally out on vinyl, the second Stephen Steinbrink single from his upcoming new album is out, and Martha Rose & GRIP TIGHT's debut album has landed. Many of our artists are on tour this autumn, see tour dates below!

^{As always, if you like our music, tell your friends, share it online, support us by grabbing a physical copy. Support independent music. We love you.}

Released exactly one year ago (initially only as a download / CD & Tape, no streaming), the collaborative album by Discovery Zone and John Moods is finally out on vinyl! Black vinyl with a printed lyric sheet, pressed in a small run. There is also a bundle with the hand-screenprinted tote bag, and HHV have an exclusive crystal clear edition.

^{Having already released three collaborative singles, Martha Rose and GRIP TIGHT have spent two years in the studio together, working out the sounds of a soft nocturnal city, the kind that glows at dusk with evening light and quiet roads.}

Their debut album is out now. There is a limited tape and shirt bundle in the shop, and they play Heiners in Berlin on October 6th.
